On August 28, newly-appointed Home Administrator Fred Just delivered his first State of the Home address to residents and staff at the Yountville Veterans Home.

Just, who spent much of the past 15 years in the leadership ranks at Kaiser Permanente, joined CalVet and was sworn in on June 6.

Since then, he’s begun working with local agencies, veteran groups on campus, and town dignitaries to make Yountville the best possible living environment for residents of the Home.

During his address, Just touched on a number of subjects including safety – where he outlined emergency management plans, and structure – where he touched on the Home’s capital projects. Just also addressed maintenance, transportation, equipment planning, and the planned skilled nursing facility.
