Veterans and active-duty service members can always count on fun and interesting activities at San Francisco Fleet Week. This year, they can also find information and resources to help further their education or launch their careers.
The Fleet Week Veterans Resource Fair will provide an opportunity to speak with college recruiters, entrepreneurs, and Fortune 500 companies looking to hire veterans.
Staff from CalVet’s California Transition Assistance Program (CalTAP) will participate in the resource fair beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 2. Stop by and learn how CalTAP helps transitioning service members tap into all of the benefits and services available for California veterans.
The Veterans Resource Fair takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the San Francisco War Memorial Veterans Building, Green Room, 401 Van Ness Ave. The event is free and open to all branches of service active duty, reservists, veterans and spouses.
Please tell veterans in attendance about SB1071 that I have help compose with Ex Sen Josh Newman and his staff.It’s heading to the Gov this month for his signature. It will increase college grad rates for veterans systemwide in CA public schools by awarding more college credit for military education and experience.
