CalVet welcomed two new Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) administrators last month, and appointed

Larry N. Pangilinan will oversee the SNF at the California Veterans Home – Barstow.

Jay S. Caddell will serve as SNF administrator at our Yountville home. Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. made the appointments April 13.

Pangilinan, of Fontana, has been executive director at Height Street Skilled Care since 2015. He previously served as administrator at Ojai Gardens Nursing Center from 2013 to 2015, director of operations at Golden Cross Health Care from 2011 to 2013, director of operations at Affiliated Care Services from 2006 to 2011, and assistant administrator at Cloverleaf Healthcare from 2005 to 2006. Pangilinan, a veteran, served as an aviation handler class E-4 for the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Station North Island from 1984 to 1988. He is a member of the California Association of Healthcare Facilities.

Caddell, of La Mesa, has been administrator at Mount Miguel Covenant Village since 2007. He was a health care consultant at Manos Banbury Corporation and administrator at the Remington Club from 2006 to 2007. He previously served as administrator at Paradise Hills Convalescent Center from 1986 to 2006. He is a member of Leading Age California.
