COUNT OFF – VETERANS HAVE REAL INVESTMENT IN ANSWERING CENSUS 2020

It’s time for all California veterans to be counted!

This week (March 30-April 3) is U.S. Census Week. Participation is mandated by law for everyone living in the United States and its five territories.

The federal Census Bureau and California All Census 2020 simply need you to answer a short survey, which you can do online, by telephone, or mail from the comfort of your home. Most Americans recently received in the mail instructions and a Census ID for completing the survey online.

Why is it so important for veterans? Information collected will be used to determine the most accurate numbers of veterans, and to address their needs in their respective communities. The information helps fund programs that provide benefits and services for active duty, veterans, and their families.

It’s also important to respond online, by phone, or mail because COVID-19 prevention protocol impacts the remaining option, which involves sending a Census worker to your home to collect your answers in person.

So log in, call in, or mail in your responses now.

Took the 2020 census online and not one question was about veteran status! So, how is the census so important to veterans if we are not even being questioned about veteran status?
