CalVet Secretary Dr. Vito Imbasciani took part in a grand opening ceremony March 29th at March Veterans Village in Riverside County. The multifamily housing development was funded, in part, by the Veterans Housing and Homelessness Prevention Program, administered jointly by CalVet, California Department of Housing and Community Development, and California Housing Finance Agency.
March Veterans Village, a joint project of Coachella Valley Housing Coalition and partner U.S. Vets — Inland Empire, the 138-unit community will provide housing for veterans and their families experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. U.S. Vets will also provide a range of supportive services on site.

My wife Bobbie , son Cassius , & myself applied to Marxh Veterans Village last week . We have been homeless for almost a year in Hemet California living out of car that doesn’t run . We contacted the US Vets non profit and in general they are great people , unfortunately we were denied do to an outstanding debt to our last apartment complex. We have never been homeless but my wife tore a ligament and could not fulfil her jobs tasks at the 99 cent store so she was let go . Homelessness and bad credit kinda go together if you’ve ever met and talked to the homeless , the US Vets hasn’t . All the best to my homeless Vets out on the streets STAY STRONG ! HONOR THE FAMILY , HAVE COURAGE WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS , BE COMMITTED TO POSITIVITY . God bless you and yours.
