CalVet offers career positions that allow you to serve those who served our country in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

The home is hiring more than 150 new employees, including 12 Registered Nurses, seven Licensed Vocational Nurses, 77 Certified Nursing Assistants, 44 Food Service Workers, two Registered Dietitians and many other positions.

ATTEND OUR JOB FAIR

We’re hosting a job fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the West Los Angeles Veterans Home, located at 11500 Nimitz Avenue (Wilshire and the 405), Los Angeles, Calif.

The job fair will also offer workshops on “How to Get a State Job” and “How to Maneuver the CalHR Website.”

We’ve streamlined the process to make quick hiring decisions and to make job offers on the spot. Participants can complete the necessary exam, go through a hiring interview and complete livescan (finger print) process all in one day. This is a process that normally takes over three months.

If you plan to attend the job fair, you can save yourself time by creating a CalCareer Account before you arrive. If possible, take the exam for the job you would like to apply for. Please bring information on three positive job references, including phone numbers.
